Aalto University Summer School
Greetings from Aalto University in Finland!
We are pleased to introduce the Aalto University Summer School 2021 course Climate Change, Health and Architecture - a future-oriented introduction to climate change and its relationship to human activities, built environment, and human health. The course is a two-week online intensive (6 ECTS) where students get to create a personal adaptation action plan specifically for their chosen context.
During the course, students learn to identify the effects of climate change in their own communities, to evaluate the risks and to create their own strategy and action plan for climate-conscious design and decision-making processes that can change the course of the future.
Daily classes Monday-Friday at 9:15-17:00 (Helsinki time, GMT+3). The course requires full-day participation and includes:

The tuition fee for external students is 1400€ (including VAT 24%). No tuition fee for nominated exchange students from a partner institution of Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture, Aalto degree students or students with a flexible study right (JOO-right) from another Finnish university. Reduced tuition fee (-50%) for students from partner institutions of Aalto University who are not nominated for exchange.
Aalto University Summer School course curriculum
Our course topics for summer 2021 include entrepreneurship, digital business, carbon-neutral construction and wellbeing architecture, as well as sustainable biomaterials. All courses are worth 6 ECTS and include a two-week intensive period, as well as pre-or post-assignments. There are both online and on-campus options available.
